Let's get straight to the point: lithium-ion batteries are a huge problem in our industry. You find them in more and more devices: from e-bikes, e-steps, smartphones to in the smallest toys. Discarded lithium batteries can be perfectly processed, but to do so, they have to be collected separately. If they do end up in a pile of scrap metal, there is a real risk of fire if they are damaged.
