The construction of a state-of-the-art shredder and recycling plant involves an investment of nearly 40 million euros. The Harnes project represents the largest investment Galloo has ever made in France. Equipped with the most advanced technologies, this site will produce approximately 200,000 tonnes of raw materials annually by recycling complex, discarded materials. Galloo will then have three shredder sites within 60 km of each other: Harnes (in the south), Halluin/Menen (central), and Ghent (in the north), all interconnected by waterways to optimise logistics flows. This new factory will thus directly contribute to a circular and low-carbon economy.
Rik DEBAERE, CEO: “This award is above all a reward for the work of Galloo’s teams, who contribute every day to the realisation of this project and, more broadly, to our ongoing commitment in France, which has lasted for over 30 years. The award also recognises the expertise of Galloo and Galloo Plastics in the technologically advanced recycling of metals and plastics. Thanks to this know-how, our company can enter into numerous partnerships with French businesses.”
Galloo warmly thanks Business France and the French-Belgian Chamber of Commerce, initiators of this award, the other winners and nominees, and all partners who contributed to organising the ceremony.
Finally, Galloo thanks all public and private partners who support Galloo in the realisation of the project in Harnes.
