Galloo sells raw materials

Today, waste is no longer a dead end, but an opportunity to recycle materials and bring them back into the circular economy as recycled raw materials. In a time of increasing raw materials’ scarcity, Galloo is an essential link in the production of valuable raw materials of the highest quality.

Ferrous metals

Being a pioneer means meeting or surpassing the ever-increasing quality requirements of the market and anabling our customers to reduce their CO2 emissions thanks to circular materials. Galloo invested in an additional sorting unit on the shredder at its central processing site in Halluin to remove the small impurities from the shredder material. Since then, Galloo has been able to market steel with a very low copper content.

Galloo exports 700,000 tonnes of recycled metals within and outside Europe every year and supplies steel to the largest metal processing companies locally and globally.

Non-ferrous metals

Galloo was the first company in Belgium and France to obtain the end-of-waste certificate” for recycled and dried aluminium, recycled stainless steel and recycled copper.
Thanks to our advanced facilities for recycling post-shredder materials, we can offer the highest quality aluminium, stainless steel, red copper, yellow copper, bronze, lead, zinc and many other non-ferrous metals.
You can also come to us for catalytic converters and cables.

Kant West’ : high-tech aluminium recycling

The latest installation in Menen enables us to separate different alloys from each other, thereby greatly improving the quality of the recycled material, which benefits both Galloo and the non-ferrous industry:

  • high-quality recycled materials are increasingly replacing primary aluminium ore in the production of new aluminium
  • aluminium smelters, in turn, save on water, energy and CO2 emissions
