Galloo Bruges covers an area of 2.4 hectares and welcomes both professional and individual suppliers of scrap metal, end-of-life vehicles, and discarded electrical and electronic equipment. The site has been equipped with a new office building, a new weighbridge, and a spacious covered hall. The water treatment facility has also been significantly expanded.
The new buildings in Bruges are part of Galloo’s investment strategy to continuously adapt its infrastructure to evolving standards. They provide larger and safer storage capacity, a comfortable working environment for employees, and smooth, safe traffic flow on site for all suppliers as well as for heavy internal equipment.
Galloo’s recycling activities are not the only sustainable aspect of the site: we are also optimising our energy consumption through the installation of solar panels. The redevelopment of the site also created an opportunity to renew the water treatment installation.
Thanks to its location along the Baudouin Canal, Galloo Bruges is an ideal base for transport by waterway. Scrap metal is particularly well suited to transport by boat: it does not deteriorate and can be transported efficiently in bulk. As a result, Galloo was able to take around 700 trucks off the road in 2025.
Galloo organised eight team-building events!
