Galloo recovers valuable materials from electronic waste.
Urban mining is much more efficient in recovering valuable raw materials than traditional mining. Electronic waste contains up to 50 times more valuable metals and minerals than ore from mines. Every year, Galloo processes more than 65,000 tonnes of discarded electronic equipment from individuals and businesses, in collaboration with Recupel (BE), Ecosystem (FR) and Ecologic (FR).

How is my e‑waste being recycled?
Galloo has been partner of Recupel (BE), Ecosystem (FR) and Ecologic (FR) for many years in the collection and processing of old electrical appliances. This means you can be sure that your broken appliance will be recycled safely and professionally. In addition, Galloo is also partner of Soren (FR) for the recycling of photovoltaic panels.

Depollution
Everything starts with depollution: removing batteries and cables is an essential step for safe processing. In washing machines, the capacitor is removed. - 2
Shredding
Electrical and electronic equipment is composed of various materials and is shredded into small pieces by the shredder for further sorting. A magnet separates all ferrous metals. - 3
Recycling
Next, metals are sorted from non-metals. In our post-shredder installations, non-ferrous metals such as aluminium, copper, nickel and lead are recycled into high-quality recycled raw materials. - 4
Plastics
Galloo Plastics recycles 4 types of plastics (PP, PE, PS and ABS) as pure raw materials.
